Andrea Locatelli completed a shortened two-day World Superbike test at MotorLand Aragon on Wednesday, which was the second test in two weeks at the Teruel site, while Toprak Razgatlioglu is expected to join the Belgian for the next outing on May 4 after recovering of Covid. -19.
For the second week in a row, Locatelli was the only Yamaha factory rider in action, while the GRT Yamaha pair of Garrett Gerloff and Kohta Nozane were also present.
Speaking after the rain test, Locatelli said: âYesterday I had a strange feeling with the bike which maybe was due to the condition of the track.
âIt was very different from the last test, but in the end we continued to work on the bike and were able to confirm a few new parts for 2021.
âIt was the main thing to work on so far, although for me yesterday’s performance level was not perfect.
“I’m sure when we come back here we will have things to improve on and we will also try to improve the feel on the bike.
“But I’m happy for this test because we’ve been able to work on the data to confirm some developments for 2021, and now we’ll come back with a clear focus on performance.”
The former Moto2 rider has been one of the busiest throughout the 2021 preseason until he kicks off his WorldSBK rookie campaign.
Locatelli has already had tests in Misano, Barcelona and two in Aragon, with the season opening at exactly one month.
