World Tourism Day 2022: Odisha Tourism organizes a super bike rally

Bhubaneswar, 27th September: A super bike rally was organized by Odisha Tourism from Infocity Square to Dhauli Shanti Stupa on the occasion of World Tourism Day 2022.

The rally was reported by Police Commissioner SK Priyadarshi with Tourism Director Sachin R. Jadhav in the presence of Convenor Odisha Super Riders Devjyoti Patnaik.

With over 150 super cyclists participating, the rally culminated at Dhauli Shanti Stupa where an occasional event was held to promote cycling community road trips as part of a tourism initiative.

A special message from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was read by the Director of Tourism. With “Rethinking Tourism” being the global theme set by UNWTO for the World Tourism Day celebrations, the Chief Minister’s message highlighted various initiatives taken by the government towards the development of key tourist destinations through an integrated master plan.

“These projects have scope for community participation and the incorporation of sustainable value-added businesses to promote local handicrafts and crafts, cuisine and culture, among others,” he said.

A special ‘Unexplored Odisha’ guidebook has been launched by Tourism Minister Ashwini Kumar Patra. This guide along with the state tourist map features Odisha’s hidden tourist gems for travelers to explore.

On behalf of the Ministry of Tourism, a cultural program was organized by the Paryatan Bibhaga Sanskrutika Parishad today evening at Bhanj Kala Mandap, Bhubaneswar.
