World Superbike hero Carl Fogarty visits Knockhill

MOTO great Carl Fogarty will be at Scotland’s Knockhill circuit on Sunday – headlining a family event organized by Ducati Glasgow.

Fans will even have the chance to win passenger seats with the four-time Superbike World Champion at the famous Fife venue.

This is the first time Foggy, who was also crowned King of the Jungle in the 2014 I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! TV, has been back in Knockhill for over 30 years.

He will be joined by Scottish two-wheeled aces Ian Simpson and Iain Macpherson – and fans can win races on the track with them too. Ducati-only track sessions are also on offer, with Knockhill bosses running the circuit in reverse in honor of Foggy’s visit.

The fun and activities extend far beyond the track, with something happening throughout the day for the whole family to enjoy. There will be a host of Italian two- and four-wheel exotica on display, with Lamborghini Edinburgh getting in on the action.

Activities include stunt shows and demonstrations, expert advice on obtaining a motorcycle license, mini-moto sessions, off-road experiences, test drives and much more.

Raffles will be taking place throughout the day, with £1,000 in prizes and experiences up for grabs and proceeds going to Carl’s charity, the NSPCC.

The program of events starts at 9am and runs until 5pm and pre-booked entry costs just £2.50. Day tickets cost £5 each, with the money going to the NSPCC, and the price includes entry into the raffle. Visit www.ducatiglasgow.co.uk to find out more.

Ducati Glasgow boss Andrew Duthie said: “This event promises explosive action for the whole family and we would love for you to join us in this celebration of Italian performance and exoticism!”

The Knockhill event will be followed by an evening with Carl at the Glynhill Hotel, Renfrew, from 7pm, where he will be on stage to talk about his experiences on and off the track. Tickets are just £35.00 each and include a hot buffet.
