A woman was involved in an accident because she was texting and driving. Her motorbike crashed directly into an oncoming car, but instead of jumping to assess the damage, she continued to text while lying in the street!
This confusing video showed what the priorities of this woman were… certainly not her safety. She was more concerned with sending another text than the damage she had done.
In her attempt to text and drive, she created a chaotic day for herself and for others involved. But despite this offense, it was his reaction that really created the confusion.
TEXT AND Crash
This woman has taken “texting and driving” to a whole new level. She perfected what it was like to be caught “texting and crashing”. Incredibly, seconds after her car accident, she picked up her phone.
But, she doesn’t use it to make emergency phone calls. Instead, it looked like she was finishing the text she originally typed … the text that caused the crash!
NOT CONDEMNING HIS ACTIONS
Many commentators did not react to the video as expected. They did not condemn his actions out of hand. They took a more comical approach and added sarcastic remarks.
A user joking sharing a comment to indicate what she might text someone, “Let me text you back, you had an accident lol.” While another added: “Amazing how she continues to text while lying in the street.”
A COMMON VIEW
Using your phone while driving a car or using the grips of a motorcycle may limit your ability to drive. Despite this, a lot of people still do. A similar incident happened in Phuket, Thailand.
A video of a woman riding her motorcycle while texting was shared online. She didn’t crash, but she had a child with her, and as a result, she put them both in great danger.
LEADS TO TRAGEDY
At one point in the video, she completely removed her hands from the grips of the bike. Her attention was only devoted to the phone and not to the road in front of her. These videos are often sources of comedy, but the reverse is also true.
The use of the telephone while driving has led to a great tragedy for many families across the world. The outcome of an accident is not always as forgiving as it is for the lady who continued to text after her accident.
To make matters worse, in both videos neither of the women wore helmets. This is irresponsible behavior, especially when cycling on busy roads or with children.
It is imperative to prioritize safety and avoid unnecessary risks. Texting and driving should never be taken lightly, and people should be encouraged to leave their cell phones or bags in their bags while driving or in the grips of a motor vehicle.
