British Bennetts Superbike legend Chris Walker will return to the grid in 2021 as he takes on the Ducati TriOptions Cup.

Walker is one of the most established names in BSB history and is eager to return to two-wheeled action after an impressive performance more recently in the British Sidecar Series.

The ‘Stalker’ last raced in a Ducati in 2003, with GSE Racing podiums in the Superbike World Championship, and is now looking forward to making his official test debut at Silverstone next week, joining the 4T2 Racing team alongside Craig Currie.

Walker’s return to racing comes after his dealer Chris Walker Motorcycles recently joined the Ducati dealer network, with the Grantham destination including a tattoo shop, hair salon and cafe in a relaxed atmosphere next to the motorcycle showroom. .

“My very first experience on a Superbike dates back to 1995 on a Ducati. Steve Hislop let me drive and so if it wasn’t for him to let me jump on it, then I would never have had the opportunity to race in BSB in 96 and 97, so that’s good how it is. all. come back, ”Walker said.

“I’m a lot easier to get along with when I run, which I didn’t do last year, and other than the year I broke my back, I’ve never missed a year since the age 13. to have this opportunity to run again, so I have to thank my wife Rachel for cheering me on and thanking everyone involved who made this possible.

“I like to think I can still pedal a bike so I can’t wait to do some tests under my belt so I can just gain momentum during the season. I’m really excited to get back on two wheels – nothing replaces the feeling of coming out of a corner, like at Druids, where the front wheel kicks in the air and the rear wheel spins.

“: It’s an exhilarating feeling and I can’t wait to run again. I want to start at a reasonable pace and go faster; there are some very good drivers in the Cup, so I’m not kidding myself.

“Chris Walker Motorcycles has been open for five years now, as a destination for bikers and it is huge for us that we have now been able to join forces and get involved with Ducati. The announcement of our new partnership with Ducati and to tie it to racing in the Ducati TriOptions Cup is fantastic. One thing’s for sure: if you can’t find me on a track, I can be found at the dealership. “
