Honda launched the two 650cc mid-weight motorcycles in India in March 2021

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has started deliveries of the 2021 Honda CBR650R and the CB650R neo cafe racer in India. Deliveries were made to the Honda BigWing Topline showroom in Mumbai and the keys were handed over to 15 customers. The two mid-weight bikes were launched in India in March 2021 and are priced at ₹ 8.67 lakh and ₹ 8.88 lakh respectively (ex-showroom, Haryana). Both bikes were released in India as Completely Disassembled Kits (CKDs) and are sold only through Honda’s premium BigWing Topline and BigWing dealers.

Speaking on this occasion, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director of Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., said, “As the situation improves and markets reopen with an easing of restrictions related to COVID-19, all Honda Big Wing contact points are operational under respective state protocols. Heating up the excitement among waiting customers, we have started deliveries across locations and further see enthusiasts’ interest picking up with increasing demands for our products. We are also proud to share that our recently announced flagship model ‘Gold Wing Tour’ has been fully booked for the first CBU import batch.

The CB650R is built on the same platform as the CBR650R and both bikes get the same 649cc inline-four engine that develops 86 hp at 12,000 rpm and 57.5 Nm of maximum torque at 8 500 rpm. Motorcycles receive a 6-speed gearbox with a slip clutch and assist.

The other big news is that the first CBU batch of the new 2021 Honda Gold Wing Tour has been fully booked, although the size of the first batch has not been specified by the company. The motorcycle was launched just a fortnight ago and the prices for the motorcycle start at 37.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2021 Honda Gold Wing Tour benefits from numerous mechanical upgrades in an effort to meet the latest global emissions standards. The tourer draws its power from the liquid-cooled 1,833cc inline six-cylinder engine that meets Euro5 / BS6 standards and develops 124.7 hp at 5,500 rpm and 170 Nm of maximum torque at 4,500 rpm . The engine is associated with two transmission options; 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT.
