Sandiaga calls for accelerated vaccination to welcome Mandalika World Superbike

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno said vaccination rate in western Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is the main requirement for establishing 2021 World Superbike (WSBK) on the circuit from Mandalika, Lombok.

The Sandiaga ministry worked with various stakeholders to speed up the vaccinations of NTB residents to host the 2021 WSBK.

“Today, we are working quickly together because in a few weeks, on November 19, the World Superbike will be organized and supervised by President Joko Widodo. This is the main requirement for the succession of the international event,” said Sandiaga. during his visit to Pesona Tatsura. Vaccination center, Lombok center.

WSBK is marked as the revival of tourism and the creative economy, whether in Lombok or Indonesia. This international event will show the world that Indonesia is ready to host the G20.

The NTB vaccination rate on Tuesday reached 58.2% for the first dose and 24.7% for the second dose. As for the people of Lombok, 70.4% and 31.8% for the first and second dose, respectively.

“To date, 602,438 people are being vaccinated in 71 different locations, which has exceeded our expectations,” he added.

Vaccination should suppress the Covid-19 infection so that health and the economy return to normal.
