Punjab CM hails Rescue 1122 performance during floods

Says he doesn’t leave suffering humanity alone in any situation

Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi congratulated Rescue 1122 on completing 18 years of service to the province and said the organization is close to his heart. In a statement released on Friday, the CM noted that Rescue 1122 does not leave suffering humanity alone in any situation. I am happy that Rescue 1122 is still at the forefront of serving suffering humanity, he said. Accidents, earthquakes, floods, epidemics, medical emergencies, fires of any kind, the 1122 rescue team is the first to intervene.

The CM said Rescue 1122’s performance during the recent floods was exemplary. Rescue 1122 personnel earn a reward in addition to their duty.

Rescue 1122 is an ideal emergency service in South Asia; he said and added that the scope of the Rescue 1122 service has been extended to tehsils. Rescue 1122 has rescued 11.5 million emergency victims so far.

The first modern fire rescue service responded in time to a lakh 97,000 fires, he added.

The Rescue 1122 fire rescue service also averted potential losses of Rs 586 billion. Meanwhile, the Rescue 1122 motorbike service has been extended to all districts in Punjab.

The average response time for the Rescue 1122 motorcycle service is four minutes. Over 11 lakh emergency responses have been given thanks to the fast response time of Rescue 1122 motorcycle service. Through the patient transfer service, Rescue 1122 has transferred 11 lakh critical patients to hospitals. Rescue 1122 created the first Disaster Emergency Response Team in 2006 and also received the honor of United Nations certification in 2019.

Rescue 1122 has established community emergency response teams at the union council level. More than 23,000 rescuers have also been trained at the Rescue 1122 Emergency Service Academy, the CM concluded. Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has praised the national cricket team for beating the Kiwis in the final on their home ground.

Muhammad Nawaz played the best match to lead Pakistan to victory. Hard work, passion and determination resulted in victory and the Pakistani team proved it again today, he said.

Pakistani players played the best game through teamwork and won. The victory lifted the morale of the Pakistani players and it is hoped that the string of success will continue in the World Cup as well, he concluded.
