A stolen red Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle and damage to the oval fence at Dennington Recreation Reserve prompted police to request information from the public. Warrnambool Chief Constable Ash Witham said the 2019 $ 4,000 motorbike was stolen from the driveway of a Kelp Street address not far from the Apco gas station , between 3:30 am and 8:30 am Sunday morning. She said he was likely pushed a few blocks east and dumped near the Warrnambool East Kindergarten on Lava Street East, where the offender improperly attempted to hide him in some bushes. “The keys were with the victim and the assailant cut off all the wires when he was thrown out,” she said. “We ask anyone who has seen anyone with the motorcycle in the early hours of Sunday to contact the Warrnambool Police Station at 5560 1333 or Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.” Chief Constable Witham said the Dennington Oval Fence was also damaged at the start of the weekend. The steel tube fence was severely bent at the southern end of the oval, and the vehicle involved in driving the hoon is expected to have been damaged.
