Is this the worst motorcycle ever made? Electric …

NOW I’m all for a unique looking bike, but this is… is it one step too many? OX Motorcycles presented their Ox One electric motorcycle concept, a cafe racer with clean lines, flat edges and boxy style.

Maybe it’s made of marble, and the designer just hasn’t finished chiseling it yet?

Well, actually, that’s apparently pretty close to the truth. According to a report in RideApart, Adrián González, CEO of OX Motorcycles, said there is still a lot of work to be done, finishing touches to be done and finalizing the outline of the tank and the lines.

Maybe it’s a video game, and the 3D model just hasn’t finished loading yet? (Or it’s Goldeneye on the N64!). Well, the internals are certainly charged, with two removable 72V 30AH batteries that can be charged quickly from a household outlet in two hours – impressive – this electric motorcycle can travel around 60 miles / 100 kilometers on a single charge.

Ox One by Ox Motorcycles – bicycle with electric power box

Power for the ride is an 8kW brushless electric motor delivering around 11bhp, with a top speed of around 110km / h and can be purchased for around € 5,200, or around £ 4,520.

One final note, having a metal plate with a sharp edge (the reservoir) in the front of the seat looks like a seriously painful accident waiting to happen. Hope the brakes aren’t too powerful – they’re around 100mm in diameter, so maybe not.

Still, this is a prototype version set to make its full debut in September, and there is still hope that rendering online on the Ox Motorcycles website looks a little prettier!
