Honda Racing UK unveils Bennetts British Superbike entry

Honda’s British motorcycle racing division has unveiled its Bennetts British Superbike Championship (BSB) entrance, the Honda CBR1000RR-R 2021.

The Honda Racing UK Fireblade SP has a tricolor livery, as well as the carbon fiber fenders, windshield and rear fender.

Long-standing partners Akrapovič and Castrol, as good as Performance Parts, Close Brothers, Nova Racing and Datatool, continue to support Honda while RK chains acts as a new sponsor of the team.

According to Honda Racing UK, Glenn Irwin, Ryo Mizuno and Takumi Takahashi will ride the 2021 Honda CBR1000RR-R in the 2021 BSB racing season. Likewise, Tom Neave will also ride in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship.

Honda Racing UK will launch the 2021 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP in the final official BSB test at Donington Park ahead of the season start at Oulton Park in June.

Filipino fans may consider themselves lucky because Honda Philippines did the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP available locally. The Filipino-spec Fireblade SP features a liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve, four-stroke inline four-cylinder engine connected to a six-speed manual transmission.

In addition, the bike offers the latest Honda motorcycle technologies such as selectable torque control, selectable engine brake, new ABS brakes, quick shifting, drive mode selection system and power selector.

The locally available Fireblade SP also includes Front Öhlins suspension (telescopic inverted suspension / Öhlins NPX Smart EC) and rear (Prolink swingarm / Öhlins TTX36 Smart EC). They are paired with Brembo 320mm twin disc brakes (with radial mounted four-piston caliper) front brakes and rear 220mm twin-piston caliper disc brakes – also from the Italian brake maker.

The Honda Philippines CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is only available in Red Grand Prix, quite similar to the BSB livery recently unveiled by Honda Racing UK.
