2022 KTM 65 SX Totalmotorcycle.com Key Features
The 2022 KTM Motocross lineup is the most comprehensive and technologically advanced lineup of motocross and supercross bikes that brings KTM production motorcycles closer than ever to the winning machines of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing All-Star Championship.
To prove this point, we took FIM MX world champions Jeffrey Herlings and Tom Vialle on an MXGP track and let them do a few quick laps on the production 2022 KTM 65 SX and KTM 125 SX models.
4-STROKE – LEGACY IS STANDARD
The championship-winning KTM SX-F range has been a dominant force in the FIM Motocross World Championship, the AMA Supercross Series and the AMA Pro National Motocross Championship for years. Building on the recent success of the stars of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, KTM engineers had clear goals when designing the updated 2022 SX range; to create the lightest, most manoeuvrable, powerful and technically advanced motocross models ever to come out of the Mattighofen, Austria plant.
2 STROKE – DISTINCT HOLD AND POWER
Instant throttle response and the best power-to-weight ratio in the motocross segment have been the calling card of 2-stroke fans for years. For 2022, KTM is once again offering three separate full-size 2-stroke offers. Not to mention KTM’s almost unmatched success on the international stage, with seven of the top 12 places in the 2020 EMX125 European Championship belonging to the KTM 125 SX.
Young runners deserve the best to accelerate their careers. For this reason, the KTM Sportminicycle range is treated with the same development priority as the full-size SX range. By treating the KTM 85 SX, KTM 65 SX and KTM 50 SX with the same development momentum as the bigger machines, the 2022 KTM Sportminicycles range has retained its leadership position in the junior motocross category.
E-MINI – DISCONNECTED RACE
The 2022 KTM SX-E 5 is an all-electric mini racer designed to give the most inexperienced beginner a real READY-TO-RUN experience, but at the same time, being a real-world option for competitive mini racers. Zero emissions, low noise, ease of use and minimal maintenance make the KTM SX-E 5 a true vision for the future in the sport of motocross.

In its updated version of 2022, the KTM 150 SX can fight with the mighty 250 4-stroke, while the KTM 250 SX is a 2-stroke powerhouse with the same feeling of lightness.
All full-size 2022 KTM SX models feature a Racing Orange coated frame finish to further enhance the proximity to Red Bull KTM Factory Racing All-Star Championship winning machines. The updated frame aligns perfectly with the new blue seat cover and fresh colors of the graphics to visually underline the close connection to the KTM factory machines.
KTM’s 2022 SX lineup is complemented by a series of sporty minicycles that share exactly the same racing-oriented development approach as KTM’s full-size motocross bikes. Junior riders who ride one of the KTM 50 SX, KTM 65 SX and KTM 85 SX models can do so knowing they are getting top performance, state-of-the-art WP suspension, brakes top of the range and minimal weight. . For tech-savvy riders, the wheels can start rolling with the 2022 KTM SX-E 5, the latest incarnation of a premium electric mini-crosser that can grow with the young rider on it.
Joachim Sauer – KTM Product Manager Offroad: âThe new SX range is all about being close to our racing machines and the bikes that do the trick on racing tracks across continents. We have been refining these packages for several years and feel that the link, both aesthetically and in terms of performance, is now closer than ever. To prove our point, we gave production bikes to the MXGP and MX2 world champions and I’m happy to confirm that they were surprised and impressed with their performance. It was appropriate to give the 2022 models an even more “racy” look with the blue and orange design and to remind riders and fans that there is no more READY TO RACE motocross line in any paddock anywhere. that is.
