Bigg Boss Kannada 8 winner Manju Pavagada takes Rs 53 lakh in cash

Popular comic Manju pavagada was declared the winner of season 8 of Bigg Boss Kannada during the grand finale on Sunday. Host Sudeep presented him with the winner’s trophy and a cash prize of Rs 53 lakh.

Manju pavagada worked at a gas station in his hometown and came to Bengaluru with the dream of becoming an actor. After a long struggle, his break-up came with the opportunity to participate in the talent competition, Majaa Bharatha. The comic book talent show made Manju popular and he became a part of the reality show, Bigg Boss Kannada. He emerged as the dark horse of the season, beating all predictions and navigating through various challenges in the series.

Manju’s performance, especially in the second rounds of the season, received a lot of attention and appreciation.

KP Aravind, meanwhile, became the first finalist and won a cash prize of Rs 11 lakh. As a thank you, Sudeep also removed the jacket he wore during the event and gifted it to Aravind.

Aravind is an Indian off-road motorcycle rider. He participated and made his mark in international racing competitions. He has done several TV commercials as an understudy for big celebrities. He also made an appearance in Dulquer Salmaan’s Bangalore Days.

The eighth season of Bigg Boss Kannada launched in February amid much fanfare and celebration. However, the second wave of the coronavirus interrupted the flow of the show. Lockdown restrictions imposed by the Karnataka government to contain the growing cases of infections have banned all kinds of entertainment television and film productions. And the showrunners were forced to stop the show after 72 days into the season.

Before the show was cut off, even Sudeep fell ill and disappeared from the weekend episodes.

The season, however, resumed in the last week of June and completed the remaining 30 days of the total trip. The 12 contestants – Aravind KP, Divya Uruduga, Raghu Gowda, Vaishnavi, Manju Pavagada, Divya Suresh, Prashanth Sambargi, Chakravarthy Chandrachud, Nidhi Subbaiah, Subha Poonja, Shamanth and Priyanka Thimmesh were brought back on the show.

Sudeep, who has been the face of Bigg Boss Kannada since its inception in 2013, has vowed to return next season as well.
