2021 AMA Racing and Organizer Awards Announcement
AMA Athletes of the Year, AMA Racers of the Year Recognized
PICKERINGTON, Ohio— The American Motorcyclist Association is pleased to recognize the winners of its 2021 AMA Racing and Organizer Awards, which are given to individuals and organizations who have distinguished themselves in AMA-sanctioned competition and recreational activities in 2021.
AMA members helped select winners in certain racing categories, including the AMA Athlete of the Year and AMA Rider of the Year awards, while AMA staff chose organizational awards.
“We are thrilled and proud to recognize the winners of the 2021 AMA Racing and Organizer Awards,” said the AMA Director of Racing. Michael Pelletier noted. “The winners have displayed a distinct level of excellence in 2021 and deserve it in every way.”
The WADA Athlete of the Year Awards went to Quartermaster Baylor (National Championship Series), Kitchen Levi (Major Championships) and Fowler walker (MTB).
The AMA Veteran/Senior Rider of the Year was Broc Petersonwhile the AMA Youth Racer of the Year award went to Cole ForbesAMA National Enduro Futures Champion and GNCC Super Mini Champion. Becca sheets was recognized as the AMA Runner of the Year for her outstanding performance in the AMA Grand National Cross Country Series.
MotoAmerica (Track Race Organizer of the Year), Mid East Hare Scramble (ATV Organizer of the Year) and Gnarled Routes (Recreational Off-Road Organizer of the Year) were all recognized for their efforts in 2021. Hi Winders (AMA Club of the Year), Pasadena Motorcycle Club (Recreational Routes Organizer of the Year), Florida track runners (Off-Road Race Organizer of the Year) and MX East Fork (Motocross Organizer of the Year) were among the additional award-winning groups.
For their fundraising and relief efforts for the flood victims of Waverly, Tennessee, Riders 4 Waverly were awarded the AMA Sportsman of the Year. For their outstanding media coverage, WADA presented World of road racing and motorcycle technology with the AMA Media Award.
