2022 KTM 65 SX key features Totalmotorcycle.com

THE BATTLE FOR GLORY
The 2022 KTM Motocross lineup is the most comprehensive and technologically advanced lineup of motocross and Supercross motorcycles that brings KTM series motorcycles closer than ever to the winning machines of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing All-Star Championship.

To prove this point, we took FIM MX world champions Jeffrey Herlings and Tom Vialle on an MXGP track and let them do some quick laps on the production 2022 KTM 65 SX and KTM 125 SX models.

4 STROKES – LEGACY IS STANDARD
The championship-winning KTM SX-F range has been a dominant force in the FIM Motocross World Championship, the AMA Supercross series and the AMA Pro National Motocross Championship for years. Building on the recent success of the stars of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, KTM engineers had clear goals when designing the updated 2022 SX range; to create the lightest, most manoeuvrable, powerful and technically advanced motocross models to roll out their wheels from the factory in Mattighofen, Austria.

2 STROKE – DISTINCT POIS AND POWER
Instant throttle response and the best power-to-weight ratio in the motocross segment have been the calling card of 2-stroke fans for years. For 2022, KTM is once again offering three separate full-size 2-stroke offerings. Not to mention KTM’s almost unmatched success on the international stage, with seven of the top 12 places in the 2020 EMX125 European Championship belonging to the KTM 125 SX.

Young runners deserve the best to accelerate their careers. For this reason, the KTM Sport mini-bike line-up is treated with the same development priority as the full-size SX line-up. By treating the KTM 85 SX, KTM 65 SX and KTM 50 SX with the same development impetus as the bigger machines, the 2022 KTM Sportminicycles range has retained its leadership position in the junior motocross category.

E-MINI – DISCONNECTED RACE
The 2022 KTM SX-E 5 is a fully electric mini-racer designed to give the most inexperienced beginner a real READY TO RACE experience, but at the same time a real world option for competitive mini racers. Zero emissions, low noise, ease of use and minimal maintenance make the KTM SX-E 5 a true vision for the future in the sport of motocross.

DROP THE GATE: THE NEW KTM MOTOCROSS 2022 RANGE ON DEALER FLOORS NOW

After decades of a continuous flow of information between the racing paddock and KTM’s production line, the full KTM SX 2022 lineup is closer than ever to the motorcycles winning the titles. Circuit-designed and fully meeting KTM’s superior performance standards in their updated 2022 livery, the new models are the gold standard for motocross and supercross competitions around the world.

Designed for those who know the importance of a solid technical foundation, the KTM SX-F model line is the winner’s choice. The 2022 4-stroke lineup includes three models that take advantage of KTM’s considerable gains in the segment with the latest WP XACT suspension technology and advanced technological solutions such as traction control, launch control, variable engine mapping and reliable starters.

The purest definition of advanced motorcycle technology, the 2022 KTM 65 SX is an extremely compact package that produces unmatched 63 hp of power in the most efficient way possible. The KTM 250 SX-F delivers unmatched outright speed in a class that pushes the limits of performance and the KTM 350 SX-F ideally combines 250 agility with even more engine grunt.

Building on a legacy of top performance for both budding and experienced riders, the new 2-stroke range comprises three distinct models. A benchmark in the division, the KTM 125 SX is the development of the bike that occupied seven of the top 12 places in the 2020 EMX125 European Championship. In its updated 2022 version, the KTM 150 SX can fight with the mighty 250 4-stroke, while the KTM 250 SX is a 2-stroke power plant with the same feeling of lightness.

All full-size KTM SX 2022 models feature a racing orange coated frame finish to further reinforce the proximity to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing All-Star Championship winning machines. The updated frame lines up perfectly with the new blue seat cover and fresh colors of the graphics to visually underline the close connection to KTM’s factory machines.

KTM’s 2022 SX lineup is complemented by a series of Sport mini-bikes that share the exact same racing-oriented development approach as KTM’s full-size motocross bikes. Junior riders who climb on any of the KTM 50 SX, KTM 65 SX and KTM 85 SX models can do so knowing they are getting top performance, top WP suspension, premium brakes and of minimal weight. . For the savvy rider, the wheels can start rolling with the 2022 KTM SX-E 5, the latest incarnation of a premium electric mini-crosser that can grow with the young rider.

Joachim Sauer – KTM Offroad Product Manager: “The new SX range relies on the proximity of our racing machines and motorcycles that trade on circuits across continents. We have been refining these packages for several years and feel that the connection, both aesthetically but also in terms of performance, is closer than ever. To prove our point, we gave the MXGP and MX2 world champions stock bikes and I’m happy to confirm that they were surprised and impressed with their performance. It was appropriate to give the 2022 models an even more ‘racy’ look with the blue and orange design and to remind riders and fans that there is no more READY TO RACE motocross line in any paddock.
