Yamaha launched the next-generation MT-09 motorcycle in Japan. It is also available in an SP variant.
As for the highlights, the bike has a head-turning look and comes with a 3.5-inch digital dashboard as well as a full LED setup for lighting. It is powered by a water-cooled 888cc inline 3-cylinder engine combined with a 6-speed gearbox.

The bike is available in four shades
The Yamaha MT-09 has a muscular fuel tank, a one-piece seat, an underbelly exhaust and a gold-colored front fork.
It contains a 3.5-inch digital instrument cluster, full LED lighting setup, and designer wheels.
The standard model is available in Pastel Dark Gray, Matte Dark Gray Metallic 6 and Deep Purplish Blue Metallic C shades, while the SP variant comes in a Black Metallic X color.
It is powered by a 120hp, 888cc engine
The Yamaha MT-09 derives its power from a water-cooled 888cc inline 3-cylinder engine that generates maximum power of 119.6hp at 10,000rpm and maximum torque of 93Nm at 7,000rpm. min. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
It has several driving aids

To ensure rider safety, the Yamaha MT-09 is equipped with disc brakes on the front and rear wheels, as well as ABS, traction control and cruise control. It also offers four driving modes.
The suspension tasks on the motorcycle are performed by telescopic forks at the front and a swing arm at the rear.

In Japan, the Yamaha MT-09 costs 1,100,000 JPY (approx Rs. 7.36 lakh) and will be available from August 26, while the SP variant is priced at JPY 1,265,000 (approx Rs. 8, 46 lakh) and will be sold there from July 28.
The company plans to sell 1,400 units of two-wheelers in the country each year.
